breaker breaker 1-9; this is a radio check.

Have we all been so busy in our little rat race that we no longer have time to communicate? Lets get this blog rolling folks...
Lets see. I am almost compltely moved out of my apartment. I am now at the stage where the remaining pieces of apartment fodder are those that never really played an important role in day to day life. It makes their immediate removal from the barren living room space of lesser importance.
I have taken a break from x box. I am not sad nor do I feel proud of the mind numbing hours I spent chasing down the german army in Call of Duty. I may play for a few minutes tomorrow.
I have become completely obsessed with cooking, more specifically grilling. I have also learned that I make a mean mango salsa.
I drove to Mobile and back last week for dinner. It was definitely worth it. Although, I am not 100% that Whitney's choice of restaurant for the lot of us was "the best" in Mobile.
I am the proud owner of a part time job at Highland Park Golf course. I am far from ashamed at the minimum wage compensation. I am playing golf for free; andI got a free hat and shirt. Sweet.
Looking forward to hearing about everyone else; If tomorrow brings an exciting anectdote, I will gladly keep you up to date. Tomorrow I am going to tackle the driving range in an armored club cart. It doesnt get any better than this baby.
Cheers.

hey, i am doing the same working my tail off here in auburn. It is my 6th week here and really starting to get into the groove. I really could not ask for a better job.
Mer is loving auburn probably too much. She just got a job. Whew.... It is amazing how fast your money can go.
We also just bought a loft in downtown Opelika. Crazy, but it is going to be pretty pimp.
What is the status on everyone else. We need to stay in touch more!

Well,
I am happy that Kristian finally got a job, but it seems to work out as well for me as it does for him. We played golf today, and I didn't pay a dime. It may be important to note that it rained for the first 3 or 4 holes, but after that the rain moved on and it was a beautiful day on the course. We were the only ones on the course for most of morning.
Although I was able to play golf today, I think I racked up 40 hours at work Monday through Wednesday. We work hard when we are there, but Dr. Drummond seems to like vacations. I guess I can't complain too much.
I, like Phil, have been going for about 6 weeks, and I finally feel some sort of a rhythm now. I hope everyone else is doing well. I look forward to hearing everyone's stories.

Much love,
Jody

i guess i'm going on about 6 weeks as well. this was my first weekend on call by myself. really wasnt bad. this past week was spring break around here so several of the docs were out..less surgical pts to round on :) guess i lucked out.

the doc i'm working with is fantastic!! just finished his residency last summer. he loves to teach. i'm learning so much. currently seeing all his new patients in clinic. i've got my own personal bet going into each room...how many sentences can i complete before they interrupt me to ask where i'm from...used to be two or three, now i can complete the whole exam and sometimes even escape the question all together. they get a kick out of it. i'd hate to think of what they'd say if i was truely from the south

anyways, colorado is fabulous. i'm really liking it out here. plus the 3 day weekends...cant beat that!!

Howdy howdy! Well, Seattle is awesome. I'm constantly on the go. My hours at work are awesome. We just hired our 9th PA and are now fully staffed. It's quite exciting. I'm flying solo taking vein now and can get 1 whole leg of vein out in 35 minutes or less (it's a start anyway). I won't start taking call for another 3 or 4 months and I'm certainly not going to complain about that. I love going out here. There is just so much to do. I stay constantly busy doing something, whether it be at work, working out, dancing, or going out on the town. Very few dull moments. Freddie is slowly adjusting but he still refuses to walk out from under the awning of the front porch to pee when it's raining, go figure. Hope everyone else is doing well. I miss y'all.
