I think that there have been several to attack the PANCE ( Scott, Chitty, Kris, Jody?) I tip my hat to your ambitious early offensive. Best of luck to those taking them in the coming weeks...
Wow... I took the PANCE, and granted I passed, I will be on my way to my new career as a PA. I would say the PANCE was fair and moderately difficult, but an adequate representation of what we have learned over the last 2.5 years (for those that care). How do Scott and Chitty feel about the test? It went by quickly I suppose, but I am glad to be on my way to the real world. That is enough school for me. I am looking forward to starting on the 21st... when does everyone else start?
I start Orientation at UAB on January 28th and then first day is January 31st. Can't wait to be a "real" PA, but I don't know any more than I did as a student!
Well Phil all I can say is to bring some lube... haha, jk. I am sure you will do great. I can't say I feel great about it, but I feel good enough about it. For some reason the pulmonary and derm questions stick out as being the ones that showed up a lot for me. I guess CV was on there a good bit, but for some reason it seemed more straight forward. Anyway, I am sure you will do well. Good luck.

So yeah, I took the PANCE yesterday. Wasn't as bad as I thought it'd be. I agree with Jody. There was a good bit of pulmonary and derm/ID. Psych, OB/GYN, GI was pretty straight forward. A handful of questions I had no clue on, but I guess that's bound to happen. I had plenty of time to complete each section...like 10-15 minutes to go back and check questions I was unsure of or skipped. Well anyways, I'm glad it's over!!
I too thought the PANCE was pretty fair and am anxiously waiting to hear back. Hope everybody enjoys studying. And enjoy not working for a while though the paycheck thing is working out quite well.

I just wanted to let everybody know. The PANCE is not all that bad. It is fair, some what challenging, but do-able.
I got my results today and I passed!!!!! Scott and Chitty took there's with me, so hopefully we will hear from them soon as well.
Starting at UAB on tuesday 01/22/08. I heard we are playing poker next weekend. I am down and I can host.
for what it is worth i agree with everyone on their impression of the PANCE.
I thought it was pretty funny I had a 2-3 questions on erectile dysfunction. Random!
